An encore from the Sonicare inventor

David Giuliani founded The Optiva Corporation to develop the Sonicare® sonic toothbrush, which became one of the best selling sonic-based consumer products of all time. The company reached number 1 on INC 500 list of the fastest growing companies in America and was ultimately sold to Philips.

Giuliani then established Pacific Bioscience Laboratories Inc, which developed the Clarisonic® technology, harnessing the benefits of gentle sonic cleansing — this time to skin care. Giuliani drew together the scientists with a mission to develop and market technically advanced and clinically proven products that make a clear difference in skin care.

In the USA Clarisonic is distributed through dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons, spas and prestige retailers such as Sephora, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Beauty.com, and Bliss. Clarisonic is a top-seller in Sephora and on QVC, a favourite of celebrities, and it’s earned awards from Sephora (Best of Sephora), QVC (Q-Star / Innovation), Women’s Health Magazine (Beauty All-Stars) and InStyle Magazine (Best Beauty Buys).
